One trick that worked for me is deleting an app that is draining a lot of my time without providing me any productivity. One such app is Tiktok

We all know how addictive can TikTok be. If you start watching one video, you can’t stop scrolling down and down. This is what happened to me. I realized that I was spending too much time on TikTok without realizing and gaining nothing productive from it (at least for me). Then I decided to delete the app 😏😲

Yes, then I deleted Tiktok. Although I was craving to watch TikTok videos for a few days after I deleted the app but later, I got the hang of it. It was worth it to delete the app. I was on my phone less often and was using that time for my studies 😁

So, If you can, I strongly suggest you delete those apps which you think are draining a lot of your time without providing anything productive in return.

  2. “Using social media for too long can hurt your productivity”

    I can confirm.

This happens to me every day. I just try and wait until the afternoon to fire up any social media. I write in the morning and then use the afternoon for the black hole of social media and sharing.

  3. Love this post so much! So true that social media is a powerful and useful tool – what’s more is, it’s NECESSARY if you want to run a successful business. So it’s all about finding that healthy balance, I always turn off my notifications or put my phone on do not disturb during the night. But I really need to work on reducing my screen time, I’ve just started scheduling my tweets so I’m hoping that’ll reduce my time spent on Twitter.

  4. Turning off notifications is really required! My notifications for all social media have been off for at least two years now and it’s wild for me to think about my friends constantly getting pinged haha. It’s less distracting and also allows for space.
