2. Post on a consistent basis:

Consistency is the key to running a successful blog. Like any other platform, you have to create and upload content consistently (At least 1 post a week).

As a beginner, you have to post even more consistently (At least 2 posts a week) so that you have more content to offer for your readers. It will also boost your SEO ranking.

3. Use Shorter paragraph

Using shorter paragraphs will allow your readers to scan thoroughly through your article which will make it easier for the readers to navigate the key points of your blog.

Although, readers would not read your lengthy article. Writing long articles (At least 1000+ words) will actually help to improve your on-site SEO and helps your page rank better.

8. Market your blog

Just writing and publishing your blog won’t increase your blog’s traffic. You have to market your blog as well. You can market your blog through various methods

Email marketing, Pinterest, Facebook groups, and Quora are some of the major marketing tools that I use for my blog.

9. Search for better performing keywords:

Search for the long-tail keywords that are not too competitive. Make sure to use the keywords that have a monthly search over 3000-5000 and make sure they are less competitive to rank your website well.

I personally use Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest to find out the competition, search difficulty, and monthly searches of the keyword.

10. Have Patience:

At last, have patience. As a new blogger, the ranking of your website in google might take time. Your blog is not going to explode overnight.

So, you have to work hard, focus on improving your SEO, focus on the quality of your content. Then, only you can have a successful blogging career.

Now, As you have known all the things that you should do as a beginner blogger while you start your blog, here are the 5 things that you should completely avoid as a beginner blogger while starting out your blog:

DONTs

1. Poor web-design:

Having a poor web-design and poor user-interface may leave a negative impact on your readers and they may never return to your website. So, having a good web design and user-friendly layout of your website is most

You can use different themes available in WordPress that are very responsive and user-friendly and are free as well.

2. Grammar mistakes:

Grammar mistakes are the biggest pet-peeve of some readers and also, it may bore your readers. So, you should make sure that your article doesn’t contain any grammatical errors. Also, Grammatical errors make your blog look unprofessional.

The best grammar checking tool for the web is Grammarly. It can fix grammatical errors and check the clarity of sentences.

3. Don’t cover too many niches:

Writing your blog posts on too many niches won’t help you rank better in SEO. You shouldn’t cover more than 2-3 mainstream niches for your blog. One shouldn’t write everything that is under the sky. You should be covering specific audiences by writing blogs on specific topics.

4. Don’t use long sentences:

Nobody wants to read a lengthy sentence, isn’t it?

Using extra-long sentences on your blog post might actually bore your reader. It makes them lose concentration over the sentence and your readers may not get the exact information you are trying to give. So, make your sentence very short and clear.

5. Don’t use copyrighted content:

You don’t have the right to use other’s copyrighted content. That content belongs to them, not to you. You can get inspiration from them by the type of content they are writing, but you can’t copy their content.

If you want to use free and non-copyrighted images on your website, you can find them from Pixabay.comPexels.com, and Unsplash.com
